Privacy Policy — Pinterest Assistant
Last updated: 25 October 2026 · Applies to the “Pinterest Assistant — Neuramra” Chrome extension.
The short version
Pinterest Assistant runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no server operated by us receives anything from the extension.
What the extension does
The extension helps you create Pinterest pins from articles on your own website and publish them to your own Pinterest account through Pinterest’s own “Create Pin” flow, in a tab you can watch. It also keeps a local registry of the pins you have made so the same photo or article is not pinned twice by accident, and it can audit your own boards and pins (titles and descriptions) to suggest improvements.
Data stored on your device only
Everything the extension remembers is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage API and never leaves your device:
- Your settings: your website domain, brand name, an optional QR watermark image you provide, and publishing preferences (daily limit, delays).
- Your pin queue, pin registry, and action log (article URLs, pin titles, board names, and the links of pins you published).
- Pin images you build in the extension, kept in local storage until you remove them.
You can erase all of it at any time from the extension’s Registry tab (“Clear registry & log”) or by removing the extension.
Permissions, and why each one is used
- Host access to pinterest.com — to open the Create Pin builder and fill it in with your title, description, image, and destination link, and to read your own boards/pins for the audit features. The extension only acts when you click; it never publishes or deletes anything without your action.
- Optional website access (granted by you, per site) — when you enter your website domain in Settings, Chrome asks your permission for that one site so the extension can read your sitemap, your article pages, and their images to build pins. No access is requested for any other site, and you can revoke it at any time in Chrome’s extension settings.
- storage — to keep the local settings, queue, and registry described above.
- tabs — to open the extension interface and the Pinterest tab it works in.
- downloads — to let you export your registry as a JSON/CSV backup file.
- scripting — to run the extension’s helper on pinterest.com pages for the account-scan and board-audit features.
Third parties
The extension communicates only with pinterest.com and with the website domain you yourself enter in Settings. It contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, no remote code, and no third-party data processors.
